A further 11 new cases of Covid-19 were reported in Meghalaya today. There were also 27 recoveries and no new fatalities.
Of the new cases today, eight were in East Khasi Hills and there was one each in West Jaintia Hills, North Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills.
In East Khasi Hills one health worker tested positive for the virus, along with three returnees and one in the Nongthymmai cluster.
The recoveries were divided between East Khasi Hills (15), Ri-Bhoi (10), East Garo Hills (one) and Wes Khasi Hills (one). Nine of the Ri-Bhoi recoveries were in the Fernando Training Centre cluster.
In all, Meghalaya has had 13,536 Covid-19 cases, of which 138 are active, 13,257 have recovered and 141 have died from the virus. The recovery rate has increased to 97.94 percent. The fatality rate is 1.04 percent.
