Orders relating to containment to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in East Khasi Hills were promulgated by the District Magistrate today.
The house of M Kharmawphlang, Riat Laban East, Madan Laban; the house of E Lamin, Lawsohtun Block 2; the house of Tina Warjri, Khliehshnong, Malki; the house of Dylan B Syiem, Nongpynrope, Malki; the house of Bioi Talang, Lawjynriew Lumbhalang; and the staff quarters and dormitory of Pinewood Hotel have all been declared as containment zones to restrict unregulated entry and exit from these sites.
Meanwhile, containment orders have been lifted from the compound of Haradhan Paul in Oakland; the house of Victor Bhattacharjee at Wahdienglieng; the flats on the second and third floors of the building of RD Pala, Howell Road, Laban; and Bamboo Hut restaurant and staff quarters on MG Road with immediate effect.
