Shillong, May 22: The Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC) has suspended Ainam Manik Syiem as the Syiem of Hima Mylliem.
As per a notification issued on Friday, the VPP-led executive committee has appointed Alban Fedrick Syiem as the Acting Syiem of the Hima.
The suspension order said the decision is in accordance with the Section 7 of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District (Appointment and Succession of Syiem, Deputy Syiem, Electors and Rangbah Shnong Syiemship) Act, 2007.
