Shillong, Jan 7: The Indian Red Cross Society, Meghalaya State Branch, has extended its support to three families affected by a fire incident in Umlyngka Mission on January 4, 2026.
The relief materials were handed over to the victims in the presence of local headman Stephan Lyngdoh and village representatives.
The Red Cross team, led by General Secretary Andrew N Sawian, included Badamonlin Thangkhiew and Albert CL Nongrang, who represented the organization during the visit.
The fire incident had left the families in distress, and the Indian Red Cross Society’s timely intervention has brought some relief to those affected.
