Shillong, Aug 25: The A·chik Dedicated Integrity Leaders (ADIL) has reaffirmed its vision of empowering communities, strengthening grassroots governance, and institutionalising transparency across the region.
The organisation commemorated its second foundation day with a general meeting in Williamnagar, which was attended by over 250 members from across all districts of Garo Hills.
ADIL said the meeting revolved around its unwavering commitment to public service, protection of public interest, and the safeguarding of public property. Discussions emphasised the importance of ensuring that citizens receive the full benefits of schemes and entitlements provided by both the Central and State governments.
The key areas of concern included monitoring and addressing corruption in infrastructure development—particularly in building construction, road projects, and flagship schemes such as the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA).
ADIL Chairman Francis Marak said, “We have established units in every corner of Garo Hills to stand firmly against corruption. Our mission is to reach every household, respond to every need, and work tirelessly to uphold justice and integrity. We are committed to continuing this fight with even greater dedication in the days ahead.”
