Shillong, Nov 5: In its continued drive against illicit liquor, the office of the Deputy Commissioner (Excise) of East Khasi Hills conducted raids in restaurants and stalls in the town and its outskirts where 11 cases were uncovered in August and September, wherein indigenous liquor totalling 97 litres and 46.48 litres of IMFL were seized.
Six persons were arrested in connection with these cases under the Excise Act, a press release informed today.
