Eleven meritorious students who had successfully cleared the SSLC examination 2021 from Ri Bhoi District were felicitated by Deputy Chief Minister, Prestone Tynsong at a programme organized by the Ri Bhoi Youth Federation (RBYF) in Umsning today.
The annual felicitation programme is to encourage students of the district to pursue higher studies and to give their best shot in studies for a bright future.
Speaking on the occasion, Tynsong lauded the initiative taken by organisation and said such recognition will inspire young people and they would understand the importance of education. He said education shapes a person and through collective responsibility the district will see all round development.
Others present at the programme were MLA of Nongpoh, Mayral Born Syiem, MLA of Umsning, Jason Sawkmie Mawlong, RBYF President, Bipul Thangkhiew, members from all units and circles in the district and others.
