In a swift operation, the Border Security Force (BSF) and police apprehended 10 Bangladeshi nationals while they were travelling in an auto rickshaw from Purakhasia, West Garo Hills district.
Acting on specific information, the BSF and police yesterday set up a mobile check post on SH-12 between Dalu and Ampati, a press statement said.
Although they learnt through sources that the Bangladeshi national had already crossed the area, the BSF alerted the ZigZag Police Station, where they successfully apprehended them, the BSF said.
The apprehended persons were later produced in court.
