The resignation of the incumbent President of the Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress, Richard Marak, was rejected today.
Marak had submitted his resignation some time ago, seeking to be relieved of his responsibilities while still pledging to continue working for the party.
However, in a letter dated February 26, Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee Working President, James S Lyngdoh, stated that a detailed discussion on the resignation had been held with India Youth Congress President Srinivas BV where it was decided not to accept it.
The letter further asked Marak to continue his duties as the state Youth Congress president until further orders.
