The office of the District Social Welfare Officer of West Jaintia Hills, in collaboration with the district administration and District Sports Officer, will organise a ‘Run against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ as part of the observation of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2025 and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan for men and women (open category) on Thursday.
The race will be flagged off from the Kiang Nangbah Stadium main gate and then proceed to Ladthadlaboh Main Road Jowai Public School – Gate Polytechnic Kshaid Rymphum Salaroh – Dulong Poh-hali Road Dulong – Tpep-Pale – Wahnangbah Road New Hill – National Highway and conclude back at the Kiang Nangbah Indoor Stadium. The event will begin at 6am. Spot registration for all participants will take place at the Kiang Nangbah Indoor Stadium, Jowai at 5:30am sharp on the morning of the race.
All interested participants from West Jaintia Hills are invited to participate in this run. Cash prize and mementoes will be given to all winners.
