The KVK Ri-Bhoi was named as the best KVK in Meghalaya at the foundation day of the ICAR-ATARI Zone-VII, Umiam today.
During the award distribution ceremony, KVK Ri-Bhoi was recognised with the Best KVK Award for 2024-25 in recognition of the institute’s “unwavering commitment to advancing agricultural practices and empowering local farmers through innovative research and extension services”, it said in a press release. KVK Ri-Bhoi undertakes different agricultural initiatives in order to spur and develop the agricultural landscape in the district.
Present on the occasion was Minister of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare M Ampareen Lyngdoh. She was given a tour of the various stalls representing the KVKs from various states.
