West Garo Hills today crossed the 12,000 Covid-19 case mark with the addition of two new cases today.
WGH has been the centre of a small recent rise in coronavirus cases in the state.
There was also one new infection logged in East Khasi Hills today.
With one recovery recorded in EKH and one in South West Khasi Hills, Meghalaya now has 17 active cases (12 in WGH, three in East Khasi Hills and one each in Ri-Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills), of which three required hospitalisation (one each in EKH, Ri-Bhoi and WJH).
