A monolith to celebrate the 34th Lympung of the Seng Khihlang scheduled to be brought from Seng Khasi Shaid Shaid Umoit under Hima Maharam Syiem Ship to the Seiñ Raij Wahiajer has been postponed.
Publicity Secretary of the Seng Khihlang, SS Sari in a press released informed that due to the Lok Sabha elections to be held on April 19, the transportation of the monolith will be held on April 20.
The monolith will halt at Seng Khasi Tyrsad and Ladsmit. Delegates of the Seng Khasi and the Seiñ Raij from other parts of the region have been urged to reach Iewpynsien Wahiajer on April 19.
The annual event organised by the Seng Khihlang, formed by Seng Khasi and Sein Raij, is to remind the Khasi Pnar people of their culture and traditional beliefs and at the same time, envisages a need to preserve the rich cultures of the indigenous Khasi Pnar people.
