A one-day training program on verifying Aadhar cards was conducted for BSF and police personnel, election department enumerators, and certificate branch personnel of the DC’s office.
Organized by the District Administration, South West Garo Hills, the program aimed to combat the increasing misuse of fake Aadhar cards for illegal cross-border movement and identity fraud.
The training was initiated at the request of BSF authorities, who recognized the need for training and awareness among field personnel to detect and verify fake Aadhar cards.
The program, chaired by ADC Dolrich B. G. Momin, featured Nazibul Islam, Project Manager of UIDAI’s Regional Office in Guwahati, as the key resource person.
Islam trained participants on verifying Aadhar card authenticity using the UIDAI website, mAadhar App, and Aadhar QR scanner App.
