The court of the Sessions Judge, West Jaintia Hills, district has sentenced three persons to life imprisonment for murder amounting to culpable homicide.
The convicted persons are Shem Langstang, Tharki Langstang and Hiarki Langstang, all of Thadsning village.
As per the FIR registered on June 2, 2006 the brother of the victim, Lobi Chullet accused the three persons of the murder committed at Ait Shrieh on June 1, 2006.
A case was registered at Jowai Police Station and was taken up for investigation by SI C Lamare, following which a charge sheet against the persons U/s 302/201/34 IPC.
In a verdict passed on August 30, the court found the three guilty of the crime.
