A Summer Camp was organised at Army Public School (APS), Umroi Military Station from June 1 to 3 for the students and teachers of APS Umroi and APS Shillong.
The aim of the Summer Camp was to give an exposure to the participants regarding life skills, value education and cultural exchange.
The camp also provided an opportunity to connect with nature and appreciate the elemental sight, sound and work associated with seasonal change.
Participants enjoyed the Summer Camp thoroughly relishing the summer sun and the monsoon rain in the green and scenic valley of Umroi.
The major attractions of the camp were educational tours to North East Space Applications Centre (NESAC) and the agricultural farm of local agronomist K D Kharkrang.
Workshop on life skills and soft skills, yoga and meditation, aerobics, bonfire and musical bonanza were organised during the camp which provided the opportunity for friendship and social exchange.
