Shillong College, in collaboration with the state government, conducted a five-day skill training programme in ‘low cost appropriate technology’ at the college’s extension campus in Mawkasiang.
The programme ran from February 15 to 19 for the participants, who were mainly youth from Mawkasiang village.
At the valedictory function today, Commerce and Industries Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar inaugurated the campus’s new swimming pool, which was funded with support from the University Grants Committee.
Chairman of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council, Pyniaid Sing Syiem, meanwhile, felicitated the 28 youth who completed the five-day programme.
