A sanitary pad manufacturing unit of the Dongkseh Self Help Group through the Stree Swabhiman Project in coordination of the CSC (Common Service Centers) was today inaugurated at Mawkyrwat.
South West Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner Caramai Kharkongor who inaugurated the unit lauded the efforts put in by the SHG and its social responsibility towards ensuring and maintaining perfect health for women.
Mawkyrwat C&RD Block Development Officer F.B. Basan in his speech urged other self help groups to find ways to improve living conditions.
