South Shillong MLS Sanbor Shullai today laid the foundation stone for the construction of various projects meant for the constituency at a cost of over Rs 5.32 crore.
The projects are under the Special Plan Assistance, PWD Roads 2024 that include motorable roads in Upper Lumparing, aqueduct slab drain in Lower Lumparing, Greater Lumparing Additional Water Supply Scheme sanctioned under AMRUT Central Scheme, State PHE and Municipal Scheme.
The MLA also inaugurated the completed motorable road at Madan Laban.
Shullai lauded the residents of Lumparing for donating land for construction of the road, meant for the overall benefit of the residents.
He also stressed the importance of having adequate drinking water supply and stated that the water supply scheme will cater to the needs of the residents of the entire greater Laban area.
