Five leaders of the tiny Republic Party of India (RPI), under the leadership of Moon K Lyngdoh, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the office of South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai here today.
Lyngdoh contested the 2018 Assembly on an RPI ticket but garnered just 147 votes, which was lower even than NOTA.
