The District Sports Officer of Ri-Bhoi, Bobby Lyngdoh Nongbet, announced today that the District Level Inter School Athletic Meet 2024 has been postponed to May 9-11 at the NSCA Mini Stadium in Pahamsyiem here.
The three-day event had originally been scheduled for May 1-3 but the heatwave hitting Meghalaya at that time forced a postponement, bearing in mind the health of the young athletes.
Nongbet urged all participating schools to be proactive in their preparations and to arrive promptly at the venue on the opening day of the event.
Winning athletes from the district competition will represent Ri-Bhoi at the upcoming state-level competition in Shillong.
