The Ri Bhoi Cultural and Food Festival began here today, with the traditional leader of Hima 12 Lyngdoh, Wanphrang Syiem, inaugurating the event.
The festival is being organised by artists from the district at the NSCA Mini Stadium.
The purpose behind the two-day festival is to give exposure to talented youths from the district in various fields, such as singing, dancing, modelling and acting.
Addressing the programme, Syiem lauded the Ri-Bhoi artists for organising such an event and encouraged the youngsters to use their talent in positive ways.
