The 67th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a civic action programme event at Shrimanta Sankardev Cultural Centre here to mark the repair and renovation of the school, which had suffered significant damage over the years.
67th Battalion second in command, Ajay Kumar, dedicated the repaired school to the people and emphasised that the battalion is always focused on serving the people of Meghalaya.
He reiterated that the restored school will serve the local residents in pursuing their literary and cultural activities now and into the future.
School officials Sunit Kumar Phukan and Hira Deka thanked the CRPF for helping in the repair and renovation work at the heritage institution.
