Widespread rains along with thunderstorms will occur in Meghalaya and six other north-eastern states from tomorrow to August 9.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy downpours (64.5 mm-115.5 mm) may also lash isolated parts of these states during this forecast period.
Some areas of the State including Shillong have witnessed rains and thundershowers in the last few days.
However, Sohra which is known for its heaviest rain has remained dry with cloudy conditions in some places.
Meanwhile, Williamnagar today recorded the highest temperature today at 34.6 degree Celsius followed by Tura at 34 degree Celsius and Umiam at 30 degree Celsius.
Today’s temperature in Jowai was 26.4 degree Celsius followed by Sohra at 25.5 degree Celsius, Nongstoiñ at 25.3 degree Celsius and Shillong at 24.9 degree Celsius.
