The state BJP today said that its membership drive has received huge response and the party is set to keep the organisational democratic process rolling.
The national membership drive of the BJP, which saw even the Prime Minister renewing his membership and commitment to the party, has now drawn to a close in most states.
The State BJP in a press statement today said it will soon announce the names of 60 mandal presidents across every constituency of Meghalaya. “After all, only a party with a well-oiled internal electoral process can strengthen grass root democracy in India,” it said.
The BJP said that the Sangathan Parv 2024 has been a resounding success for the party across the nation, with over 12 crore primary members and a few lakh active members enrolling themselves with BJP.
“In Meghalaya too, the response has been highly encouraging with tens of thousands of people proudly calling themselves party members in 2024. The party’s rank and file have now swelled and the state BJP under the leadership of its President Shri Rikman G Momin has made inroads into new areas of Meghalaya; a development that has invigorated the party and is a harbinger of new hope for all upcoming elections,” the party said.
