The North East Indigenous People Forum (NEIPF) as part of the annual international Indigenous People’s day is organizing an essay writing competition.
The topic for the competition is on “The role of youth in preserving and promoting the indigenous and native socio-cultural traditions amidst the modern world”.
The forum has urged participants to highlight the native socio-cultural traditions which are gradually diminishing in the challenges of modernism.
Those eligible for the competition should be between the age group of 15 to 24 years. The essay must be handwritten in less than 1000 words, a press release said.
The last date for submission of the essay is June 20, 2024.
The prize distribution will be held on World Indigenous Day on August 9, the venue which will be announced in advance.
