Despite allegations by UDP leaders that the NPP was involved in toppling the UDP-led executive committee in Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), the two parties will remain in the MDA government till completion of the term.
Conforming this, Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong today said that there will be no changes in the alliance of the MDA government and that the present dispensation will continue till the end of the term.
Rubbishing any kind of differences between NPP and its alliance partner UDP, Tynsong referred to the UDP as “best friend”.
Asked if he would take responsibility for the political change in KHADC, Tynsong said, “I am not even a nominated member of the District Council so how can UDP blame me.”
“Out of frustration and discontentment of this situation any leader tends to talk like this blaming others and doesn’t accept the mistakes made. It’s like a person who loses an election. He won’t accept his mistake but would accuse the opponent of persuading voters with money,” Tynsong said.
