As part of the countrywide observance of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav-India@75, the office of the Block Development Officer of Nongstoiñ, in collaboration with the local Village Employment Councils (VECs), today organised an awareness programme.
The programme was attended by the chairman of the Meghalaya State Law Commission and local MLA Macmillan Byrsat as chief guest in the presence of the BDO CP Mawkon and others.
In his address during the programme, Byrsat expressed happiness to be associated with the celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which provided information on the rural employment guarantee scheme (MGNREGS).
He also used the occasion to call upon the participants at the programme to get themselves vaccinated at the earliest.
