Shillong, Apr 21: In an effort to strengthen the spirit of legislative cooperation, the Public Undertakings Committee (PUC) of the Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, under the leadership of Chairman and MLA Charles Marngar, visited the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly today.
The delegation comprised members Marthon Sangma, Sanjay Sangma, Dr. Mizanur R. Kazi and Jim M. Sangma was welcomed at the assembly office by the Arunachal Pradesh PUC, chaired by Jikke Tako.
During the visit, Marngar expressed gratitude for the hospitality extended by the leadership and officers of the Arunachal Pradesh Assembly. He briefed on the PUC’s critical oversight role, ensuring accountability and financial discipline within public sector enterprises.
The discussions focused on diverse operational modalities, exploring the broader scope of the PUC’s mandate, and deliberating on innovative strategies to enhance the committee’s effectiveness.
Both delegations reaffirmed their commitment to robust governance and the continuous strengthening of legislative institutions in the region.
