The Meghalaya Film Makers Association (MeFiLMA), in collaboration with the Tourism Department, will organise the Meghalaya International Film Festival from December 12 to 16, it was revealed today.
Speaking to reporters, MeFilMA president Commander Shangpliang said that the purpose of the festival is to provide a platform for filmmakers, especially the regional ones, to screen their movies and thereby showcase their talent and creativity.
The festival is also meant to help the culture of film to grow in Meghalaya. Members of the public and colleges were encouraged to attend.
Meanwhile, MeFiLMA will also hold a competition to create a logo and signature video of 40-50 seconds duration for the festival.

The designer of the winning logo will receive Rs 10,000 and that of the video Rs 20,000.
