The Meghalaya Pradesh Mahila Congress has expressed solidarity with the Indian armed forces amid rising India-Pakistan tensions, saluting their bravery and sacrifices.
Speaking at a meeting held at the Congress Bhawan today to honour the bravehearts, Mahila Congress President Joplyn Scott Shylla praised their bravery and sacrifices in protecting the nation during the ongoing conflict.
“In these critical times, as you stand strong and fearless in the face of challenges posed by our neighbouring adversary, Pakistan, we extend our heartfelt gratitude, blessings, and unshakable support to each one of you,” she said.
Acknowledging the courage in defending the sovereignty and dignity of the nation she said the armed force is an inspiration to every Indian, especially to the women of Meghalaya.
“We understand that every battle you face is not only physical but emotional and spiritual too—far from your families, facing danger, yet standing tall. Know this: the prayers of every mother, every sister, and every daughter from our land go with you,” Shylla said, adding, “May you return victorious, safe, and proud, as defenders of peace and protectors of our freedom.”
Shylla said the enemy must know that India stands united.
