Shillong, Jun 5: The Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) concluded a four-day workshop on “PARAKH Taxonomy, HPC and Development of Question/Item Banks for the ITMS (Integrated Test Management System)”.
The workshop provided hands-on training to teachers and vocational trainers on the development of competency-based questions and the use of the ITMS digital assessment framework for generating competency-based assessment items. The sessions were facilitated by PARAKH’s technical team, external resource persons and four local master trainers.
Speaking at the valedictory session, DD Sangma, Executive Chairman of MBOSE, thanked the participants for their active engagement and emphasised that the PARAKH ITMS platform would significantly contribute towards improving student learning outcomes. He further informed that similar training programmes would be conducted across various districts to enable more teachers to effectively implement competency-based assessment practices in line with the objectives of PARAKH and the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
More than 80 teachers took part in the workshop.
