Shillong, Nov 18: The Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI) conducted a one day training session on ‘Leadership Development & Team Building’ for government officials of West Jaintia Hills.
The training aimed to enhance leadership capacity and strengthen teamwork among officials. Resource persons highlighted the concept of leadership, essential qualities of effective leaders and team building skills. Other presentations centred on leadership development, challenges leaders face and strategies to overcome them.
The training covered factors contributing to team effectiveness, characteristics of high-performance teams and the importance of trust and communication. Officials learned about leadership roles in team building, team formation processes, and how leadership qualities influence team cohesion and performance.
