A 27 year old man was arrested for stabbing a youth on New Year’s Day.
Police said Saidin Ali was involved in grievously hurting one Deva Kharkongor of Nongsohphoh and was arrested after a hot pursuit by Jhalupara police.
Kharkongor was brutally attacked and stabbed with a pair of scissors in both the eye and the ribs by the accused at around 9:38 pm in the Shillong Cantonment area.
The victim who sustained grave injuries was admitted to NEIGRIHMS hospital for medical treatment.
