NPP candidate for Sutnga-Saipung Santa Mary Shylla has stated that the resignation of district party leaders was a “blessing” for the party.
Twenty-three leaders led by NPP, East Jaiñtia Hills district President Dr JW Dkhar, General Secretary Monlang Ladong, Assistant Secretary Kormon Bamon, NPYF district President Grimlang Dkhar, Vice President Kmai Tangliang, General Secretary Aibor Sukhlain and 18 members quit the party yesterday citing “misunderstanding” with the party candidate.
