A detailed discussion was held as to the closure of traffic along the route (Laitsohpliah to Mawsmai) from 6 am to 9 am.
MSOA general secretary, Finely L Pariat informed that a decision was made to circulate information to all stakeholders especially from the tourism sector about the three hour closure so as to not create any inconvenience to the tourist travellers and those in emergency.
He said with the successful conduct of the first edition it is expected that there will be an increase in participation by athletes.
This is the third meeting conducted by the organising committee and the office of the SDO (Civil) Sohra for the event, which is officially approved and supervised by the Athletics Federation of India.
