The University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) organised a two-day training programme at Umroi Dorbar, Ri-Bhoi, for 100 Village Water Sanitation Committee (VWSC) members.
USTM has been empaneled as a key resource centre of the Union Ministry of Jal Shakti and Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). The training took place on July 5-6.
The participants came from villages in the Umroi area. District Public Health Engineering Department officials were also present to support the training activities.
Training completion certificates were given to each participant for becoming master trainers at the village level in the next phase during the execution of the grey water management system at the village level under JJM.
