A two-days Senior Medical Officers’ Conference concluded at the IAF Eastern Air Command headquarters here today on the theme, “Aeromedical Evacuation: Evolving paradigms”.
Medical experts dwelt on various aspects of casualty evacuation by air, focusing on recent developments and future trends at the conference.
Various contemporary health issues and patient safety were also discussed besides trends in lifestyle and infectious diseases.
An interacting and intensive workshop on trauma management provided for hands – on training was also held during the conference.
Air Marshal SP Dharkar, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command inaugurated the conference in the presence of Air Marshal R Vaidya, Director General Medical Services (Air Force) and Air Vice Marshal Kaushik Chatterjee, Principal Medical Officer, Eastern Air Command.
