The Department of Social Welfare will organise Swasth Balak Balika Spardha (SBBS), the Healthy Child Campaign Programme of the central government.
It will run from March 21 to 27 in collaboration with the Health and Family Welfare Department.
The campaign will see a concerted effort to mobilise all parents and caregives of children up to 6 years old to measure the weight and height of the children across the state at Anganwadi centres, schools and other places identified in each district.
All parents and other concerned community members are requested to participate in this mobilization exercise to generate awareness and community action towards improving the nutritional status of children of Meghalaya.
