Health Minister AL Hek today inaugurated the Rangshken Health Sub-Centre in the presence of Sohiong MLA Samlin Malngiang and Director of Health Services Dr Aman War.
Dedicating the sub-centre to the public, Hek stated that the government is committed to provide accessible, affordable and quality healthcare services to its citizens, especially the economically weaker sections of society, by opening more health centres in the state.
The minister also encouraged pregnant women to visit the centre for regular check-ups and vaccinations for newborns to help prevent maternal and infant mortality. Therefore he urged the people to join hands with the Health Department in the implementation of health schemes and programmes to achieve the ‘Health For All’ target in Meghalaya.
