The Governor has today approved the list of the new executive committee in Khasi Hill Autonomous District Council (KHADC) headed by Pyniaid Sing Syiem as Chief Executive Member (CEM).
The list includes two from Congress – Pynshngain N. Syiem as Deputy CEM and Carness Sohshang as Executive Member (EM).
Six EMs who were part of the previous executive committee led by former CEM, Titosstarwell Chyne are in the list.
They include Gigur Myrthong, Grace Mary Kharpuri, Macdalyn Sawkmie Mawlong, Rangkynsai Kharbuki, Teiborlang Pathaw and Victor Rani. All of them belong to NPP.
The two new entrants who are also from the NPP are former KHADC deputy chairman Alvin K. Sawkmie and Laitumkhrah MDC Fantin J. Lakadong.
The portfolios of the CEM, Deputy CEM and EMs are likely to be announced in a day or two.
