The Garo Students Union (GSU) held elections on Saturday for a new batch of office bearers of its Khasi Hills unit.
The election, held at the Garo Union Secondary School here, “witnessed enthusiastic participation from A’chik students, regional units and showcased the democratic spirit of the union,” a press release stated today.
The GSU zonal unit will be led by president Tengku M Marak. The other office bearers are vice-president Chelsea R Marak, general secretary Greig N Sangma, assistant general secretary Ronggrik Arengh, additional general secretary Ringchi A Sangma, chief organising secretary Thaseng N Marak, organising secretary Niksan N Sangma and games and sports in-charge Briston K Momin.
