Three pressure groups have written to the authorities at the State Bank of India to request that an additional cash counter be set up at the Rongjeng branch to deal with overcrowding.
A letter of request was signed by the Anti Corruption Foundation of India (ACFI), Garo Students Union (GSU) and Niksamso Garo Community Organisation (NGCO).
Recognising the inconvenience faced by account holders due to the long queues for cash deposit and withdrawals, the concerned groups submitted a formal request for the provision of an extra cash counter at the branch.
