Shillong, Oct 22: Dalmia Bharat Foundation, the CSR arm of Dalmia Bharat Company celebrated the success of the second batch of its beauty care course at Jaintia Eastern College.
Thirty trainees from the DIKSHa, Lumshnong Centre were awarded training completion certificates during the graduation ceremony.
The event was attended by Khliehriat MLA Kyrmen Shylla and Padmanav Chakravarty, Unit Head of DCBL, Meghalaya, as guests.
The MLA congratulated the candidates and appreciated Dalmia Bharat Foundation’s efforts in promoting skill development in the region.
Chakravarty stated that Dalmia Bharat remains committed to empowering local communities by nurturing talent and promoting inclusive growth. He congratulated the trainees on completing their course and highlighted the organization’s aim to equip Meghalaya’s youth with industry-relevant skills for meaningful livelihood opportunities.
The DIKSHa program, led by Dalmia Bharat Foundation, offers placement-linked, short-term skill training to youth and women.
With 30 centres across India, the program has trained over 25,000 youth, with approximately 75 per cent securing employment or becoming self-employed. Notably, over half of the trainees are women, reflecting the program’s emphasis on inclusive development.
