He also said that as a token of love and respect special assistance will also be two both Syiemiong and Marbaniang.

The Deputy Chief Minister in-charge Home said that the government has tried to bring in new initiatives in sports.

Tynsong said that sports closely relates to the youngsters even as he added them to read the blueprint laid down in Sports Policy for inspiration.

He said that the state government has recognised around 37 disciplines even as he urged the youths to take up one such sports and specialize in it.

Tynsong also informed that the 2025-2026 budget in the sports sector Rs. 1900 crore has been earmarked.

“The opportunity is now in your door step. Therefore grab this chance,” the Deputy Chief Minister said.

State Sports Minister, Shakliar Warjri who also spoke on the occasion said that the police department has a lot of talents in terms of sports and with their discipline, dedication and hard work in the upcoming National Games more individuals from the department will win medals for the state.
