Meghalaya has launched the German Language Training Programme to train its nurses for healthcare jobs in Germany.
The program, supported by the Meghalaya State Skill Development Society (MSSDS), aims to provide global opportunities for the state’s aspiring nurses and healthcare professionals.
Speaking at the launch, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma emphasised the significance of this initiative, stating that it will convert a challenge into a great opportunity for the state’s youth.
He highlighted that Meghalaya has one of the youngest populations in the country and is turning this demographic advantage into a global force.
The program will provide six months of intensive German language training, followed by interviews, visa procedures, and final placement in reputed German healthcare institutions.
With over 750 offer letters already issued and 580 migration formalities completed, this partnership is set to make a significant impact on the state’s youth and their global career aspirations.
