Sociocultural organisation Geetali elected new office bearers to serve until 2026 following its general body meeting today.
A report for 2022-24 and audited accounts were presented by the general secretary and treasurer respectively prior to the election.
Geetali aims to undertake further projects for the welfare of society, besides cultural, social and sports activities in the years ahead.
The club will be led by its president CA Sudip Purkayastha. Three vice-presidents were also chosen – Bishwarup Choudhary, Bijit Biswas and Bikas Kar. The adviser is the outgoing president, Santosh Kumar Das. The general secretary is Ganapada Ghosh. Several other office bearers and 13 executive members were also elected.
