The education cell of Mawkyrwat People’s Development Association (MPDA) yesterday launched its free coaching class at Mawkyrwat for the benefit of the youth of South West Khasi Hills District.
Speaking as a chief guest at the launching of the coaching class, Mawkyrwat MLA and PHE Minister Renikton Lyngdoh Tongkhar, said that the coaching class will guide the youth for various jobs and examinations.
Lamenting the fact that most of the time aspiring youth in search of a job will instead search for persons in power to get them jobs, Tongkhar quoted the famous saying, “God helps those who help themselves” and stated that it all starts from oneself and the determination to do well in the examinations.
He also stressed need for the youth to be brave and to compete with others.
B Nongsiej, Chairman Education Cell, MPDA said that the coaching class aims to give guidance to the youth of the district competing for recruitment examinations conducted by the District Selection Committee (DSC), Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) in various grades.
He also informed that the coaching class will be in divided into two batches with 70 in each batch.
Others who spoke at the occasion include, MPDA general secretary Donbok Kharjahrin, MPDA education cell secretary Definetis Dkhar and Elevenson Wanniang.
