A fire destroyed around Rs 2 lakh in cattle fodder in the 11 Mile area in Ri-Bhoi on Tuesday night.
The straw was kept for cattle near the house of one Mahesh Devkota, residents informed today.
The fire brigade rushed into action on being told about the blaze, with 12 fire engines used to bring the flames under control.
