Social activist Agnes Kharshiing has lodged an FIR with the police against drilling activities for construction of a hostel of the Shillong College.
Kharshiing said the drilling works is causing danger to her house and the nearby buildings at Bomfyle road, Laitumkhrah that may trigger landslides and might affect commuters, people and properties.
Seeking immediate halt of the construction works, Kharshiing said police should immediately inquire on who granted permission and approve the work.
She also questioned if any experts have been engaged to drill in residential areas and near roads.
